Privacy Statement
At YOUnite, Inc, we're absolutely committed to protecting your privacy. In fact, that's one of the core tenets the company was founded on. We understand that many companies say they protect your personal information, but once you read their fine print, you learn you've just agreed to re-finance the national debt with a second mortgage on your home.Every day, companies sell and trade information about you - from your name and address, to your age and annual income. And yes, that's why you get calls at dinner about the "amazing deal on an unreleased Hall and Oates compilation" because you bought a CD online in 2001.
You'll have no such surprises with YOUnite, Inc.
Our Five Core Principles:
- We will never rent, sell, lease or flat out give away your personal information for our gain (unless you do something illegal - we really like you, but won't do time for you).
- We will never contribute to the global SPAM problem. We hate it just as much as you do. Don't expect to see e-mails from us asking if you've moved. We're all adults here -- and hope you know when you've moved to a new house.
- We will never archive your personal information on our servers. With ten million cases of identity theft annually in the US, we don't want to contribute to the problem. With industry leading encryption methods and a unique approach to transaction exchanges, hacking into our database might tell someone that one of the 6 billion people in the world has the letter S in their name. We feel pretty safe with that. You should too.
- We will never install evil and invasive spyware on your computer. PC's can be slow enough -- we don't want yours to be any worse. And while your boss may care how much time you spent on CNN.com this week, we really don't need to know. So, no spyware here. We promise.
- We provide you with full control over every piece of your personal information. Share your birthday with your neighbor so she can buy you a gift, but not to your boss so he won't know why you called in sick the day before. It's your information. Do what you wish with it!
